Accuracy and precision

Aspect	Accuracy	Precision
Definition	The closeness of measurements to the true value.	The closeness of repeated measurementsto each other.
Focus	How close the measured values are to the actual value.	How consistently the same value is obtained upon repetition.

Accuracy example: The measured blood pressure values (118/78, 120/80, 122/82, 124/84) are close to the true value (120/80), indicating high accuracy.

Precision example: The measured blood pressure values (136/90, 134/92, 132/90, 134/94) are close to each other, indicating high precision, even though they are not close to the true value (120/80)
