Intertubercular groove (Bicipital groove)

Location: It’s present on proximal part of humerus bone (upper end)

 

As the clear by name, it’s present between greater and lesser tubercle (Inter tubercle) of humerus bone.

 

Contents- 

• Biceps brachii (long head)

• Ascending branch of ACHA (Anterior Circumflex Humeral Artery)

 

Attachments-

• Lateral lip: Pectoralis major

• Floor: Latissimus dorsi

• Medial lip: Teres major

Radial groove - 

• Aka spiral groove. 

• Present on shaft of humerus bone.

• Content- Radial artery and radial nerve
