Hesselbach's triangle

1. aka inguinal triangle.

2. Location: Anterior abdominal wall 


3. Boundaries:

• Lateral border- formed by the inferior epigastric artery, which is a branch of the external iliac artery.

• Medial border- formed by the lateral border of the rectus sheath.

• Inferior border- It’s marked by the inguinal ligament


4. Clinical significance:

Direct Inguinal hernias occur within hesselbach's triangle.
