Dorsal part of the ventral mesogastrium specifically gives rise to the lesser omentum, including- 

Hepatogastric ligament: Connects the liver to the stomach.

Hepatoduodenal ligament: Connects the liver to the duodenum and contains important structures like the portal triad (portal vein, hepatic artery, and bile duct).
