Sarnat Staging for Hypoxic-Ischemic Encephalopathy (HIE)

Sarnat staging is used to classify the severity of hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy in neonates based on clinical features and EEG findings. 

 

It consists of three stages:
- Mild (Stage I)
- Moderate (Stage II)
- Severe (Stage III).
