Hemorrhoids grade | Description |
Grade I | Internal hemorrhoids that are not prolapsed. They are usually detected during a physical examination or colonoscopy. |
Grade II | Internal hemorrhoids that prolapse during bowel movements but spontaneously reduce (go back inside) after the movement. |
Grade III | Internal hemorrhoids that prolapse during bowel movements and require manual reduction (pushing them back inside) to return. |
Grade IV | Internal hemorrhoids that are permanently prolapsed and cannot be manually reduced. |
