Antibiotics that inhibit bacterial protein synthesis target the ribosomal subunits (30s & 50s) 


Binding to the 30s ribosomal subunit- 

1. Aminoglycoside (Streptomycin) 

2. Tetracycline 


Binding to the 50s ribosomal subunit- 

1. Chloramphenicol 

2. Clindamycin 

3. Macrolides (Erythromycin) 

4. Linezolid
