Kiesselbach’s plexus

Location: Found in the anteroinferior part of the nasal septum.

It is a confluence of four arteries-

1. Anterior ethmoidal artery

2. Sphenopalatine artery (aka artery of epistaxis)

3. Greater palatine artery

4. Superior labial artery

Clinical significance: Due to its rich blood supply, it is the most common site of anterior epistaxis (nosebleeds).

NOTE: The sphenopalatine artery is called the "artery of epistaxis" because it is the primary blood supply to the posterior nasal cavity and a common source of severe posterior nosebleeds.
